Our goal is to provide affordable and convenient access to high-quality tools for developers and website builders.

Is it legal to redistribute WordPress and Joomla extensions?

Yes.

WordPress and Joomla are open-source platforms released under the GNU General Public License (GPL). Extensions developed for these platforms are also distributed under the GPL.

The GPL allows anyone who legally obtains a product to redistribute it.

CMS Downloads complies fully with the terms of the GPL.

How does the GPL license work?

The GNU General Public License (GPL) grants users the freedom to:

  • Use the software for any purpose.
  • Study and modify the code.
  • Redistribute copies.
  • Distribute modified versions.

These freedoms are fundamental to the open-source ecosystem.

CMS Downloads operates within this framework.

Why are your prices lower than buying directly from developers?

Our membership does not include premium support from the original developers.

Developers often charge higher prices because their licenses include:

  • Direct technical support
  • Automatic updates
  • Additional services

CMS Downloads focuses exclusively on providing access to the original GPL-licensed files.

By separating file access from premium support services, we can offer significantly lower prices.

Are the files original and unmodified?

Yes.

All files available through CMS Downloads are original, unmodified versions obtained directly from the developers.

We do not inject advertisements, tracking code, or external modifications.

Do you provide technical support for the extensions?

CMS Downloads does not provide technical support for individual products.

For product-specific support, we recommend contacting the original developer.

Our service is focused on providing access to GPL-licensed files in a convenient and affordable way.

Subscription

Why can’t I purchase certain plans?

Some plan combinations are intentionally disabled to prevent overlapping subscriptions or unnecessary charges.

If a plan is not available, it usually means:

  • It would duplicate access you already have, or
  • There is a more cost-effective option available — in many cases, a Hybrid or Founders plan.

Instead of allowing combinations that would cost more for the same level of access, the system automatically prioritizes the most efficient option for your situation.

You can review the available upgrade options in your account.

Will I lose the remaining time if I upgrade?

No.

When upgrading:

  • To a higher-tier plan (Hybrid or Founders), you receive a proportional credit based on your remaining time.
  • To a longer duration within the same plan, your remaining time is preserved and properly adjusted.

You only pay the difference. Your unused value is never lost.

Why don’t I see any Upgrade Options?

If no Upgrade options are displayed, it usually means:

  • You already have the highest applicable plan active, or
  • An upgrade would not provide additional value at this time.

To prevent redundant charges, options that do not improve your access or pricing efficiency are automatically hidden.

Your current plan may already provide optimal access.

How does Auto-Renew work?

If Auto-Renew is enabled, your subscription renews automatically at the end of the billing period to ensure uninterrupted access.

You can disable Auto-Renew at any time from your Dashboard.

Canceling Auto-Renew:

  • Does not affect your current access.
  • Only prevents the next automatic charge.

You will always see the renewal amount before confirming any payment.

Can I downgrade to a lower plan?

To maintain consistent access and avoid billing conflicts, downgrades are not applied immediately.

If you wish to switch to a lower plan:

  • Disable Auto-Renew.
  • Wait until your current subscription expires.
  • Choose the new plan that best fits your needs.

This ensures a clean transition without overlapping charges.

How do I know I won’t be charged twice?

CMS Downloads is designed to prevent duplicate payments and overlapping subscriptions.

The system automatically:

  • Blocks redundant combinations.
  • Applies proportional credits on upgrades.
  • Displays the exact amount before confirmation.

You are never charged twice for the same access period.

Account & Support Policy

What type of support does CMS Downloads provide?

CMS Downloads provides support related to your account, including:

  • Membership access
  • Billing and subscription questions
  • Download issues
  • Technical problems related to your account on our platform

We are committed to ensuring that your access to the platform functions correctly.

Do you provide technical support for individual extensions?

No.

CMS Downloads does not provide technical support for individual plugins, themes, or extensions.

For product-specific assistance, customization, compatibility questions, or troubleshooting, we recommend contacting the original developer directly.

Our service focuses on providing access to GPL-licensed files, not product development or technical consulting.

What should I do if a product does not work on my website?

If an extension does not function as expected, we recommend:

  • Verifying that your CMS version is compatible.
  • Reviewing the developer’s official documentation.
  • Ensuring proper installation and server configuration.
  • Contacting the original developer for technical support.

Most issues are related to compatibility, configuration, or environment-specific factors rather than the product file itself.

Are updates included with my membership?

Yes.

When developers release updated versions of GPL-licensed products, we make those versions available to our members as part of their active subscription.

Updates depend on the availability of new releases from the original developers.

CMS Downloads does not provide automatic update services directly inside your CMS dashboard.

Can my account be restricted or suspended?

Accounts may be restricted or suspended in cases of:

  • Abuse of the platform
  • Automated download activity
  • Redistribution practices that violate our platform terms
  • Fraudulent or suspicious payment activity

These measures are in place to maintain a fair and sustainable environment for all members.

Do you offer refunds?

Due to the nature of digital products and immediate file access, refunds are not offered once a membership has been activated or files have been downloaded.

If you believe a billing error has occurred on our side, please contact us. We will promptly review and correct any verified charging mistake.
